Francois Bester is the Group Manager: Environmental Sustainability for the Mediclinic Group consisting of three operating divisions: Southern Africa (South Africa and Namibia), Switzerland and the United Arab Emirates, with its Corporate Office situated in Stellenbosch, South Africa. He joined the group in 2001 and was transfer in 2006 to Corporate Office.
Francois gained experience in:
the healthcare industry (hospitals) – 23 years;
environmental sustainability (ESG) – 18 years and;
in Occupational Health and Safety – 32 years.
Francois is a member of the Ethical Principles in Healthcare (EPiHC) Thematic Task Group for Sustainability and Impact of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) of the World Bank Group.
Francois got a NHD in Mechanical Engineering.
