Deena Naidoo, Co-Founder and Executive Director of African Association of MBA Graduates (AAMBAG)

Deena Naidoo has 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry. He was previously the ICU Manager Nationally/Internationally), and has worked in ICU for over 15 years (SA, Middle East & Australia). Deena worked at Life HealthCare for over 15 years as a Group Quality Specialist and National Operational Manager for Quality and was a Lead Auditor and was responsible for ensuring effective Quality Management Systems within the Life Healthcare group (62 Hospitals).

Deena is involved in various projects in the Healthcare Industry, e.g., the commissioning of new Hospitals and Cardiac/Stroke Accreditation, Quality Scorecards and vaccination rollout. Deena holds an MBA & Advanced Certificate in Management Studies and also completed the Front-Line Management, Hospital Management Development / Management Developments Programmes. He also holds various other diplomas & certificates in the Healthcare Industry.

Deena was a Senior Lecturer at MANCOSA and School for Business Leadership (SBL) – Unisia (Part-Time). His areas of speciality at University include Business and Project Management (1st Year, up to MBA Level). As an MBA & Undergraduate examiner/moderator, he marked and moderated assignments/exam papers & MBA thesis annually from 2015. Deena has been a member of the SANC, Ex-Forum for Professional Nurse Leaders (EXCO) for 10 years and is a Critical Care Society of Southern Africa and South African Society for Quality (SASQ).

Deena is the ex Chairperson and Director of SASQ, having served in the position for 10 years. He is committed towards employee engagement with a strong focus on the Customer, continuous improvement, teamwork, critical thinking, innovation, and
