Dr. Nonkululeko Boikhutso is a specialist in Public Health Medicine, currently working as the Chief Executive Officer of the Nelson Mandela Children’s Hospital. Her career has been primarily in the public health sector at various levels inspired by her deep desire to serve vulnerable communities. Dr. Boikhutso’s childhood journey, marked by hospital stays due to injury and her own battle with cancer, propelled her into the realm of advocacy for children.
She actively contributes to causes benefiting children by serving as a Board member for the CHOC childhood cancer foundation, a non-executive Director of the Ronald MacDonald House Charities and as a member of the Cancer Alliance.
In addition, she offers her expertise to public benefit organisations that share her mission of enhancing the lives of children and youth. As a beneficiary herself of the philanthropic efforts of others, she deeply appreciates that children’s health outcomes are intricately linked to their lives beyond the Hospital walls.
