Dr Sabelile Tenza is a renowned patient safety expert and a researcher in quality and safety in healthcare in the NuMIQ research entity at the North-West University (NWU). She is a distinguished academic and healthcare professional in the field of Public Health, focusing on Health Systems and Policy. She completed her PhD at the University of the Witwatersrand.
As a recognized expert in her field, Dr. Tenza is a fellow of the International Society for Quality in Healthcare and serves as an Assistant Deputy Editor for The International Journal for Quality in Health Care (IJQHC). Additionally, she chairs the 12th Quality Management & Patient Safety Conference, an annual event organized by Africa Health in collaboration with the Council for Health Service Accreditation of Southern Africa (COHSASA).
With a background as a Researcher at the Wits School of Public Health in the Centre for Health Policy and the South African Research Chairs Initiative (SARChI), Dr. Tenza is deeply committed to enhancing quality and safety within healthcare systems. Her research interests are centered around patient safety culture, teamwork, and the implementation of policies aimed at improving patient care.
